Your main decision is which cemetery to use. Wellogate is the main cemetery in Hawick and a plot can be purchased in advance if desired. Wilton cemetery is now "full", burials in family plots are conducted where space allows. There are also cemeteries at Denholm, Bedrule, Minto, Southdean, Hobkirk, Roberton, Teviothead, Castlewood, Ettleton, Castleton and Shawfield which has a woodland burial area as does Hundy Mundy Wood.
